  I am a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. My current role is at AMRC Cymru as a Senior Manufacturing Research Engineer. Previous to this I worked in the agri-tech and aerospace industry. I worked at a start up agri-tech company for almost 3 years helping develop lightweight robots for arable farming activities. During this time I developed my knowledge of the agricultural industry and farming in general, as well gained familiarity with the application of machine learning. Through this role I was also a member of the British Standard Code of Practice for the use of autonomous machinery in agriculture and horticulture drafting committee. I have experience in systems safety engineering including Hazard Analysis, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis and V&V from my time working in Tier 2 suppliers for Airbus UK & Leonardo Helicopters. I also have experience in mechanical design, manufacturing and testing and I am proficient in several CAD and analysis software such as, Solidworks, Fusion 360 and Abaqus. I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and carried out my industrial placement as the university Formula Student Team Manager.
